There probably has been one of these topics as it's such an obvious one, but I looked back a couple pages and couldn't find any (sorry if I missed it). Which of the sagas from Dragonball, Dragonball Z or Dragonball GT is your favourite and why? Edited by Mitas, Nov 17 2008, 12:57 PM.

My favourite's are the Cell Saga or the Frieza Saga. The Cell Saga because I pretty much like all the characters in it and the story line. It's when the series peaked in my opinion. Most characters had a part to play in the saga (such as Tien, Krillin, Piccolo who often get overlooked). It was also the first saga I watched and what got me hooked on DBZ :P I like the Frieza Saga because it's where DBZ really started to take off. Goku turning SSJ, Vegeta in his good/bad limbo. Also, Krillin and Piccolo had big parts to play and they are my favourite characters :P |

My favorite saga is Frieza saga seeing that the legend of the SSJ was not abused and became completely gone after Frieza saga seeing that all the saiyan achieved. |

I agree with DBZnerd, personally I think there shouldn't have been a Super Saiyen beyon SSJ. My reason is that it's considered legendary in the beginning but later on it's more of a gimmick, adding more levels each time. What I think they should of done is make it just as extremely hard to obtain as the first time that way the show could focus more on the martial arts instead of just obtaining a new super saiyen level. |

The Frieza saga. For me, it's where the series should have ended. I enjoyed the later sagas of Z and even parts of GT, but realistically the show was just a shadow of its former self from the Garlic Jr saga all the way though the Buu saga and GT. Tien, Krillin, Yamcha, and Piccolo were basically worthless from then on, the filler got more ridiculous and more abundant, the Super Saiyan transformations were milked to no end (there were none for 10,000 years, but suddenly every existing male Saiyan can do it, and what's more, most of them can ascend beyond it? please), and the series lost its lighthearted sense of humor in favor of a more serious yet less appealing one. From Dragonball, I really enjoyed the Piccolo saga. In fact, if we're talking strictly anime, then Dragonball as a whole is much better than Dragonball Z or GT as a whole. |

majin buu saga--in Dragonball Z because of how random to me that it was because buu would never die even if he was blown into gobs of gelatinous goo cell saga ---DBZ ---it was fun to watch because not one of the characters knew what cell was gonna do next also because he was a bio android and not a traditional kind like 16 was |

I liked all the sagas. Can't really pick one. All sagas in DBZ ARE ORIGINAL and haven't lost any humor. Each saga was different so its hard to pick one. |

Mine is the Red Ribbon from DB and Cell games Saga from DBZ. Moving this to discussion and it seems more of one than a debate. |

I'd have to go with the Frieza saga. As epic as Buu and Cell were, Frieza was the pinnacle for me. It was the first time we got to see a SSJ. After that, SSJ just doesn't seem as special because everyone can do it. SSJ3 is nice but it wasn't the same for me. Goku turning SSJ3 just didn't have the same emotion for me as his first transformation. After that, the short stint with future Trunks killing Frieza and King Cold. That part was just bad a and made Trunks my favorite character. |

I would have to say the buu saga seeing the fusion of Vegito being created.and the final battle the way kid buu kept holding his own against ssj3 goku and ssj2 vegeta as well against majinbuu. and the fact it took a super spirit bomb to kill him. this from dbz. |

My favorite saga was the android saga, but the best one I think is the Freezia saga because it was so in depth and, as SSJVegito said, it was the first time we got to see a SSJ. |

in DB I liked the Red Ribbon Saga, but I thought the Red Ribbon Army was too easily defeated by Goku. In DBZ I like the Buu saga the most for it's new concepts like fusion and showing us the world of the Kais and Mystic Gohan and the Z sword, but that kinda didn't go to far. I do think it was okay to have more super sayian levels, but I think Akira should have made some forms for non sayians to balance it, and make a limit to them, but than if people wanted more, he could make up different forms that arn't "super" forms. seeing goku with wings to go with his halo would have been a nice touch, but then I guess everyone would have wings, and thats just silly. I know this dosn't have to do with this topic, but if I and when I get to the DBZ sagas in my DBMT fan comic, I want to have each commander of the RR army be like one of the bosses from a metal gear game, where they are super natural in some way or another, and can thus compete with Goku, though Goku would still have the upper hand, just like solid snake does some how. also I want only 3 forms of super sayian, they will be: Super Saya-jin, Super Saya-jin Ascended, and Super Saya-jin Supreme) SSJ4 is still kinda in it, but it's gonna be a Were-Ozaruu form instead, probably be called "Were-Ozaruu" as well. whats cool about that, is that makes things possible like "Super Saya-jin Supreme Were-Ozaruu" or "Mystic Gohan Ascended (SSJ2 and Mystic)". also, other character will have forms as well, most of them rivalling that of SSJ. |
